Angelo founded Overton International Trade Pty Ltd, in 1986 applying a wealth of experience gained in the ceramic tile industry. Angelo founded the Western Cape branch of a national ceramic tile supplier and was instrumental in the implementation of Italian tile manufacturing models in South Africa.
With Angelo’s experience, he was well poised to realize his vision of offering homeowners and builders quality products and valuable service. He re-introduced the ageless Italian clay roof tile to the South African market. Angelo sadly passed away in October 2010 at the age of 86. He is sorely missed but will always be remembered for his great contribution to the expansion of the Italian tile and fireplace industry in South Africa.
Davide was appointed as Managing Director in 2003 when Angelo Marchesini took up the position as Chairman.
Davide’s technical knowledge in the ceramic tile manufacturing industry was gained while employed as production manager for South Africa’s largest tile manufacturer and in his own decor manufacturing company.
Davide formed his own tile décor business in 1994 and developed it into the largest décor manufacturer in South Africa.
He is responsible for planning and guiding the company’s future growth and also sources and appoints new overseas suppliers.
Emilia is responsible for the smooth running of the administration and financial department of the company. In all facets of this diverse combination of tasks Emilia puts to good use her 25 years of experience in construction and project management.
With a wealth of experience in the Sales and Marketing field since the inception of Italcotto in 1995, Paolo is responsible for the marketing and sales of the company ensuring that his staff are constantly updated with product knowledge and offering the greatest service to their clients in both the showroom and projects.
It is also very important that through strategic marketing, Italcotto’s range of products are marketed to the public in a professional and dynamic way. Paolo executes this by ensuring that the latest marketing tools are used in an ever changing South African market.
Tiziana’s focus was as the buyer of local and imported products as well as offering sales advice to both private and building industry clients. She has left the buying department to focus on the sales side of the business as well as the smooth running of the showroom. The experience gained from her many years of service is evident not only in the sales department but also in giving the client advice on their interior decorating needs.
